Villa chairman Dr Tony Xia has moved to appoint Bruce as Roberto Di Matteo's successor with relegated Villa struggling at 19th position in the Championship
Steve Bruce has been named successor to Roberto Di Matteo at Aston Villa.
We understand Bruce accepted the Villa post after finalising a deal this afternoon, with an announcement expected shortly.

He is expected to meet up with Villa’s first-team-squad for the first time tomorrow.
